SIMPLE SEARCH ENGINES: The Top Six Systems

    A study by Lawrence, Steve and C. Lee Giles. 1998. Searching the World Wide Web. Science, Vol. 280, 3 April, pp. 98-100 has measured effectiveness with which various search engines indexed an estimated 320 mln pages comprising the WWW universe in mid-December 1997:
